Sonia Liñán

Sonia Liñán is a researcher at the EMBIMOS Group, part of the  Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM-CSIC) in Barcelona. She specialises in stakeholder engagement and citizen participation in citizen science projects, as well as the development and use of participatory  technologies. Sonia is a core member of the team leading the MINKA citizen observatory, which aims to empower communities to address sustainability challenges. Her work focuses on fostering collaboration across diverse sectors, leveraging citizen science as a tool to co-create knowledge, promote environmental stewardship, and tackle societal and environmental challenges.
