Within the context of the OBPS Workshop VII, BlueMissionAA and PREP4BLUE organized a focus session on Best Practices on Storytelling and the Restoration of Ecosystem.
This focus session built on the learnings and approaches piloted by the IMPRECO project and further expanded on the storytelling aspects which are a vital part of co-learning and co-creation, particularly among communities and stakeholders.
The results of this session are relevant to all practitioners and local communities who perhaps have collected/seen ‘best practice case studies’ but struggle with realising the lessons learnt in a local context. Storytelling is a powerful tool that can support the implementation of these lessons as the actions become much more local/personal and thereby easier to implement and understand.
Panelists: Jessica Giannoumis (UCC / MaREI), David Whyte (UCC / MaREI), Massimiliano Pinat (CNR), Francesco de Franco (Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area), and Justine Brossard (CPMR).
