The second session addresses the vital challenge of citizen engagement in ocean conservation. BlueMissionAA will share insights from their research on best practices in citizen engagement, a crucial aspect given the oceans’ role in addressing climate and biodiversity crises.
It will explore how these engagement practices can be implemented in a Mission Ocean context, providing valuable information for a diverse audience including practitioners, coordinators, policymakers, and scientists.
Both sessions aim to contribute to the development and endorsement of standardized practices for marine conservation and sustainable ocean management, aligning with the overarching goals of the OBPS Workshop VIII. By attending, participants will gain a deeper understanding of effective ecosystem restoration techniques and citizen engagement strategies, crucial for addressing the pressing challenges our oceans face.
